Ana Luisa Bernárdez Notz is an interdisciplinary artist from Venezuela, based in Toronto. She holds a BFA with Distinction from OCAD University, and was the 2020 OCAD U Photography Program Medal Winner, as well as one of four recipients of the Project 31 Photography Awards. Her practice is largely influenced by the ongoing Venezuelan migrant and refugee crisis, and by her own positionality and lived experience within it. Through her work she currently explores memory, human-land relationships and individual/collective grief and joy.
